CIH Services can analyze airborne particulate by weight for comparison to OSHA or other applicable exposure limits. Air or surface particulate can also be analyzed using optical microscopy or scanning electron microscopy. The composition of the air or surface particulate can be determined. Some common airborne contaminants include skin flakes, pollen, gypsum, dolomite, quartz, human or animal hair, dust mites, and insect parts.
