OSHA’s “Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response” standard (29 CFR 1910.120) addresses the required training for individuals who may be exposured to hazardous substances during clean-up, treatment, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste. In addition, workers involved in an emergency response operations dealing with hazardous chemicals or waste must also receive appropriate training. CIH Services offers 24 and 40 hour courses along with the 8 hour refresher training. These classes are typically taught at the client facility and include classroom and hands-on training. A mock spill scenario is conducted at the completion of the training.
